The Job:
Acts as a strategic interface between IT and Global Supply Chain, playing a crucial role in stimulating, surfacing, and shaping demand for data/analytics capabilities within global functions including quality, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and demand/supply planning. Collaborates closely with supply chain leaders and technical counterparts to deliver impactful analytical solutions, leveraging their extensive experience in data and supply chain subject matter knowledge. Serves as an advisor to business partners, assisting in shaping their technology strategy and providing education on IT processes, roles, products, and capabilities. Develops and implements methodologies and strategies, utilizing a diverse range of communication tools to effectively inform, persuade, influence, direct, and facilitate analysis and communication between the business and IT.
Act as the technology advisor and thought leader to the assigned Business Unit or Function. Champion to the Business for identifying and driving innovative data/analytics solutions.
Gathers & documents business requirements & Facilitates end-user testing. Communicates business needs with technology solutions team to gain alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.
Represents IT within the BUs by maintaining a high degree of visibility within the business and attending business meetings and appropriate management forums, providing a central point of information for all related IT activities
Ensure project and initiative progress, including consistent and effective communication and managing escalation/risk. Participate in the quarterly forecasting and IT annual budgeting and planning process for the assigned business units, and tracks IT spend
Helps drive necessary change and accountability within the business and IT Leadership to achieve initial and lasting value from IT Initiatives.
The Person:
Stakeholder relationship management and engagement at all levels. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to influence business partners to adopt data-driven strategies and solutions.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of supply chain processes, including planning, quality, procurement, logistics, and manufacturing. Understanding of relevant technologies and tools used in supply chain analytics, such as supply chain management systems, data warehouses, BI platforms, and data integration tools.
Proficient in data analysis, visualization, and predictive analytics, with experience using data to drive insights and inform business decisions
Portfolio and Program Management - Experience in leading and managing projects related to supply chain analytics, including gathering requirements, coordinating resources, and ensuring successful implementation and delivery
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with business stakeholders, technical developers, and data analysts to achieve common goals and deliver value-added solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify business challenges, analyze data, and develop innovative solutions that optimize supply chain operations and drive business outcomes.
Highly organized, capable of effectively managing competing priorities and delivering on business results
Technical Skills
Experience with data/analytics tools such as Snowflake, Power BI, Qlikview, Alteryx and SAP BW. Familiarity with extracting, transforming, and analyzing data using these tools to derive meaningful insights and support decision-making processes
Proficiency in SQL language to query and retrieve data from Snowflake or similar databases, enabling effective data exploration and analysis.
Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a engineering, business management, or a related field or equivalent experience, Master’s degree is a plus. 5-7 years of overall experience with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
