Robert Half Accounting Assistant in Towson, Maryland
Description
We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Accounting Assistant located in Towson, Maryland. In this role, you will be expected to prepare financial reports, reconcile bank statements, and assist in annual audits.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure quality customer service by providing support and information as needed.
• Prepare and maintain standard monthly journal entries and review initial results.
• Manage daily cash receipts posting to the Accounts Receivable module.
• Conduct daily journal entries of electronic receipts and run program reports upon request.
• Oversee the resolution of cash clearing balances for multiple billing systems and corporations.
• Carry out assigned monthly account and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in settling inter-corporate balances and provide support for the electronic disbursements process.
• Monitor daily bank reporting and process received checks.
• Perform reconciliation of daily receipts
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficient in preparing and maintaining Journal Entries
• Experienced in preparing and interpreting Financial Statements
• Skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Ability to prepare comprehensive financial reports
• Experience in preparing Annual Audited Financial Statements
• Knowledge of managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficient in conducting detailed Account Analysis
