THE POSITION Bradford County Human Services is looking for someone with analytical skills who would like to experience the satisfaction of public service. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, your duties will include reconciling and maintaining subsidiary accounts, preparing daily cash receipt transmittal reports, and maintaining spreadsheets. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating revenues as well as maintaining ongoing reviews and analysis of county ledger. Work includes preparing and transmitting adjusted journal entries, monthly medical assistance accounts receivable balances, and general expenditure account reconciliations. Other duties include: *Working in a coordinated effort with other fiscal office personnel *Cross training *Assisting with contracts *Completing quarterly administrative claims *Preparing information necessary to assist in the completion of reports *Attending training and conferences *Performing other related duties

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Hours may vary due to travel, after hours appointments, travel, etc. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. *  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY*

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Fiscal Assistant or three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.  You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
