Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Managers provide leadership for cross functional engineering teams. They work with senior management to define technical road maps aligned with market directions and communicate across other Business Units to share applicable technology. Our Engineering Managers leverage TE global technology to increase competitive position and increased value to our customers. They identify relevant technology trends and opportunities, develop relationships and partnerships with key customers, industry leaders and core suppliers, define and manage IP strategy, assess talent and implement development plans to assure succession planning and organization capability.

Position can be located global, but with preference in APAC or EMEA due to location of engineering teams.

Position And Responsibilities:

  • Leading the global product line engineering forintelligent sensors and Internet of Things(IoT)

  • Integration of sensors with IoT HW/SW

  • Driving collaborative partnership with all sensor developing engineering teams and third parties for effective co-development of intelligent sensors with existing sensor expertise and Products.

  • Developing and driving innovation and vision for elevating TE sensors portfolio to complex and software-driven products cross-functionally

  • Strong market driven execution of product and technology developments towards intelligent sensors and IoT

  • Development, qualification, and release to production of IoT and intelligent sensors comprised of various sensors (vibration, pressure , temperature, humidity) with IoT modules

  • Strategic creation and implementation of product and technology roadmaps including setting up, coordinating and releasing projects

  • Developing an engaged and professional team of application engineers, system architects, software and algorithm development, hardware development and validation/qualification testing

  • Developing partner network to ensure innovation and development at scale

  • Enabling seamless transfer into production with fast ramp up by working closely with manufacturing engineering and operations

  • Engage with key customers to deepen relationship and application understanding

What your background should look like:

  • At least 10 years ofextensive professional experience in the field of IoT sensors and Software development (algorithms, embedded, cloud solutions and apps)

  • Experience in:

  • Leading global engineering teams

  • Wireless and wired data transmission modalities (NB-IoT / CAT-M1, Lora, BLE and SPE, IOLink)

  • Cyber security, OTA updates and device management

  • End-to-end solution network architecture and SW integration

  • Low power system design for battery powered solution

  • Platform driven approach for scale and short development cycles

  • Sensor fusion of multiple sensor modalities and AI empowered data analysis at the edge

  • Customer focused sensor development for HAZLOC compliance

  • Sensor signal processing algorithms

  • Application and customer focus to deploy optimally engineered product and feature set

  • Agile, result orientation, strong economic and strategic thinking

  • Motivational and influencing ability, ability to align stakeholders and work collaboratively across functions and other engineering teams
