Base Pay Range: $119,400.00 - $203,000.00 Annually

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Lead and develop a new US Manufacturing Design Engineering operations team driving cutting edge chemical process management systems.

Ensures the manufacturing engineering team delivers on-time, in-scope and high-quality system designs for new and legacy products, address issues throughout the product life cycles, and play a key role in the release and transition of new products into manufacturing. This individual also has responsibility for project management of systems projects being executed, from design concept through delivery. This includes performance improvements, lowering cost of ownership, test enhancements, project definition and structure, schedule management, scope compliance and deliverables management.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing and planning engineering activities, and for managing project execution from concept through delivery.
  • Involved in concept development, proposal quotes, detailed design, configuration definition, verification, qualification, manufacturing specification and documentation of engineering activities, which lead to improved product, increased output and reduced cost.
  • Evaluate progress of projects to ensure sound application of scientific and engineering principles and adequate engineering to support the highest possible performance of the end products..
  • Evaluate results of development projects to assure accomplishment of objectives.
  • Interact with design team to promote complementary design objectives and facilitate the transfer of product/technologies.
  • Establish operational objectives and assignments and delegate assignments to subordinates.
  • Propose, modify, and execute company policies, which affect immediate operation(s), and may also have companywide effects.
  • Manage the coordination of activities through subordinates of the manufacturing engineering department, with responsibility for results in terms of cost, methods and employees.
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor capital equipment business with > 7 years of experience
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams of > 7 personnel through product development and release
  • Technical expertise in complex systems and technologies
  • Experience with new product introduction processes or demonstrated ability to adjacent organizations (Design Engineering, Operations and Service) through the product introduction process
  • Ability to make good decisions in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the semiconductor capital equipment business with > 7 years of experience
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams of > 7 personnel through product development and release
  • Technical expertise in complex systems and technologies
  • Experience with new product introduction processes or demonstrated ability to adjacent organizations (Design Engineering, Operations and Service) through the product introduction process
