Description
Robert Half is currently seeking an IT Support Technician I for a client located in Torrance, CA. It Support Technician will be responsible for supporting onsite end users, workstation set-ups, Active Directory clean up, asset management and more.
Position: IT Support Technician I
Worksite: Torrance, CA
Onsite: 100% Onsite
Hours: 8am-5pm
Duration: 6+ month contract (high potential to convert)
Process: In-Person Interview (1 hour)
Must Haves:
IT Generalist Skillset – familiar with smaller environments / more unstructured day-to-day
Confidence is Key – working with management personnel deskside and need the soft skills to work with/support big personalities. Some users may not be excited about full workstation upgrades so must be personable
Office 365, Windows OS, Active Directory
VPN Connections, Wi-Fi, Wireless/Remote Troubleshooting
Highly Preferred: Cloud/SaaS Tools, Intune, Azure
Nice-to-Have: Entra ID/Azure AD, Intune, Google Suite, Zoom, Teams, Mac OS
Workstation & Endpoint System Setup/Upgrade/Deployment, Inventory/Asset Management
Help Desk Ticketing (capable of handling a variety of tickets)
Communication, Collaboration, Flexibility
Requirements
Notes / Job Scope / Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience, outgoing personality, natural troubleshooter/problem-solver (can work independently, proactively, and be self-sufficient), broad technical knowledge
Computers / Desktops needing replacement. Systems need to be cleaned up and upgraded (90-95% Windows, 5-10% Mac)
Have 130 computers that need to be inventoried, maintained, troubleshot, upgraded, etc.
Many endpoints have various software / systems (many being outdated)
Userbase: 75 deskside/help desk ticket and user support. The 75 that are in the field just need account support/maintenance. 150 email addresses (75 of which are daily office computer users, the other half is truck drivers)
environment: Windows, Office 365, Active Directory, Google Calendar, Google Meets, Zoom, Teams (mainly Microsoft tools)
Servers: Windows 2022 (just upgraded), working VoIP upgrade, network replacement projects
Active Directory – trying to transition to Entra Cloud environment and do away with on-prem AD (long-term project).
Intune – along with Entra, they want to transition MDM to Intune (long-term project)
