The Headlines :

In the role of Shopper Marketing Insights Manager (One Year Contract Position) based in Toronto, ON you will be part of the Americas Commercial Accelerator and will work as part of the Shopper Marketing Insights team. Your role will be to advocate for and deepen understanding of consumers as shoppers. You will provide thought leadership and project management against initiatives focused on shoppers along the path to purchase to guide the development of pre-shop, online, and in-store solutions. You'll lead the team in identifying shopper opportunities in briefs, and building shopper stories leveraging resources from multiple sources: custom qualitative, quantitative, secondary research, syndicated studies, etc.

This position reports tothe Senior Manager, Shopper Marketing Insights based in Chicagoand works cross functionally with the Shopper Marketing, Category Solutions, agency, and marketing teams.

The position is hybrid where you will have option to work remotely on Wednesday and Fridays (virtual days). In person days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday as the organization has adopted a flexible work structure.

The Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for connecting the dots between studies (primary, secondary, tracking, consumer, trade, multicultural, etc) in order to deepen the organization’s understanding of Shoppers.

  • You’ll lead the strategy development to understand key decision making moments for shoppers by channel to inform the development of meaningful solutions.

  • You’ll advocate for shopper inclusivity to ensure solutions are built with diverse shopper communities in mind.

  • You will plan primary research and disseminate conclusions and solution development recommendations in a way that drives broad understanding and clear action.

  • You will identify and manage partner relationships, driving "efficient quality" of deliverables, but also greater depth of value added knowledge.

  • You will also continuously seek new and innovative ways to bring external thinking to our business practice to ensure we are building bold commerce ideas for our brands.

  • You will align projects to overall planning timelines, and use influence management to anticipate customer needs and delight them with impactful outcomes.

The Other Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of consumer research / shopper insights experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • You are curious and seek to understand the why behind the why … key to get to the insight.

  • You have passion for understanding shopper marketing & the evolving commerce landscape.

  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.

  • You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent relationships within the business.
