As the Senior Manager, Strategic Analytics, you will contribute to the overall success of the Insurance Canada business, responsible for leading the analytics efforts supporting growth initiatives aimed at deepening customer engagement, customer insight and increasing the relevance of Insurance in driving sales. You will also help maximize growth and retention of the Insurance customer base through performing strategic analysis and delivery of insightful customer reporting.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

  • Oversee the execution of all projects covering Creditor and D2C growth initiatives, including involvement in all project stages from intake, prioritization, tracking and presentations to stakeholders and senior executives

  • Lead development of a single, 360-view of a customer to make decisions about how to best acquire and retain customers, identify high-value customers and manage channel preference and risk.

  • Support Planning and Forecasting for Insurance Canada

  • Develop customer analytics, customer-level reporting and dashboards with single view of customer to provide timely and accurate customer insights to key internal stakeholders

  • Support with the auditing and troubleshooting data problems as needed

  • Interpret marketing and customer data to identify new opportunities on how to best target and appeal to customers

  • Deliver timely, high quality initiatives supporting growth strategy, while actively contributing to the overall growth strategy with Product and Marketing teams

  • Provide data discovery and deliver key actionable insights based on customer view of results

  • Synthesize data to identify trends and deliver key insights and business recommendations

  • Partner with key internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Merchandizing and Operations teams, to provide strategic insights and recommendations

  • Support key information technology initiatives, such as enhancements in single view of customer

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions

  • Champion a high performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary education focused in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Finance or Statistics; MBA in Finance or Marketing preferred

  • SAS programming expertise; SAS Institute Certification is highly desired

  • Several years of experience in programming, analytics, reporting and/or data warehousing

  • Experience developing customer propensity models, AI/ML

  • Detailed experience in Unix, Mainframe, SQL, SAS, Hadoop, Python and other tools to produce data sets, analyses, tabulations, graphics

  • Strong working knowledge of Power BI, Tableau

  • Strong knowledge and proficiency with building models

  • Strong prioritizing, planning, analytical, presentation, project management, people management and relationship building skills

  • Excel programming and Microsoft Access skills including queries, forms, reports and macros

  • The ability to apply advanced analytical and statistical techniques to solve business questions

  • The ability to manage multiple projects spanning across various systems, regulatory bodies and special requirements

  • Previous experience supporting Retail Banking / Insurance Products teams is highly desirable
