PURPOSE:

The Business and Family Wealth Specialist (BFWS) is responsible for providing comprehensive planning and advisory support to our most complex Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) and business owner clients.

IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU

In this Role You Will:

  • Lead the in-depth planning process, coordinating the integration of other experts, and deliver comprehensive planning recommendations that lead to the deepening of existing, valuable client relationships and the acquisition of new Ultra High Net Worth clients

  • Engage in consultation meetings with clients or prospects and their RMs to identify planning opportunities

  • Be proactive in internal and external communications around Ultra High Net Worth Client planning and business transition as a value added service offering available throughout Scotiabank

  • Work closely with local sales management leaders to create awareness and identify opportunities to promote the Advanced planning offering

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Scotiabank Team of Experts (TOE) offerings and strong working relationships with local partners

  • Develop and manage local relationships with external specialists and engage with them as part of the planning process, as required

  • Contribute to the effective functioning of the Advanced Planning Team by assisting in the development and testing of processes, policies and other tools.

  • Participate actively in team learning development activities while encouraging new ideas and approaches

DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS:

We would love to work with you if you have:

  • Professional designation (CPA,CA, CMA, CGA, LLB) or demonstrated significant in-depth knowledge of the segment and related technical planning issues and strategies

  • Accredited financial planning designation (CFP, RFP, PFP, Pl. Fin -IQPF applicable for Quebec)

  • Minimum ten years’ experience delivering planning solutions to business owners and/or Ultra High Net Worth clients
