Village Gate Animal Hospital can be found nestled in a busy little corner right in the heart of Toronto. A lively area with a variety of cafes, restaurants, shops, nearby schools, and transit that young families with pets call home.
The team is small but mighty and is proud to provide optimum service and friendliness to the community. You may be greeted by Oliver and Calvin, our furry welcoming committee in the reception area, as well as the chickens. Yes, we have chickens in the yard who lay fresh eggs daily for your next breakfast
About The Role:
Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian. RVT experience in surgery and dentistry is considered an asset.
Qualifications:
Registered Veterinary Technician or Technologist
Successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program
Passed the VTNE or are eligible to write the VTNE
Be in good standing with the Provincial Regulatory Association
