Job Summary

Perform all tasks involved in the production products. May include rubber, stretch cord, sewing and packing. In addition to performing assembly line functions, also calibrates equipment and maintains tools.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Maintains high production numbers to achieve daily targets.

  • Produces product with an emphasis on quality. Completes first off testing and raises any concerns to Lead Production Associate.

  • Operates six (6) or more machines and sets up at least three (3) machines. Troubleshoots and reports any issues to Lead Production Associate.

  • Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of mess, product in correct location, 5S, etc.).

  • Follows job specifications as outlined on the associated work order.

  • Adheres to all workplace safety policies, compliances and regulations.

  • Participates in training, cross-training, and improvement initiatives including health and safety and quality.

  • Other duties as assigned by the organization.

Nature and Scope

  • May modify processes to resolve situations.

  • Under limited supervision, relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine the best approach to achieve desired outcomes. Course of action is often determined by interpreting procedures and policies. Work typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process.

  • Is sought out and/or assigned to provide general guidance/direction, training, and technical assistance to junior level support personnel. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring/firing authority.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas. Generally 5-7 years of experience in a related area of responsibility.

  • 5+ years of relative experience.

  • First Aid Certification.

  • JHSC Certification.
