1 Full-Time Position – 12-Month Maternity Leave Contract (Scarborough – East Toronto)

Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.

This Opportunity:

We are currently hiring for a Full-Time, 12-Month Maternity Leave Contract as a Support Services Attendant in Scarborough – East Toronto .

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist consumers in their homes with non-medical activities of daily living in line with individual service plans and MODC policies:

  • Personal care

  • Lifts and transfers

  • Rising/retiring assistance

  • Bowel and bladder procedures

  • Meal preparation and feeding

  • Range of motion exercises

  • Light housekeeping duties

  • Perform duties in a professional manner that respects dignity, privacy, and maintains health and safety for consumers and staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification.

  • Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities or knowledge of independent living/consumer-based care.

  • Knowledge and ability to perform transfers, lifts, bowel and bladder routines, and other attendant care duties.

  • Physical Demands Self-Analysis required upon hire.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours.

  • Reliable transportation required.
