Job Summary

WE is seeking an Manager, Demand Planning & Sales & Operations. The Manager drives the team?s goals thorough analysis of historical sell in and sell out numbers to make best decisions for future assortment needs. These should be the base for Seasonal Product Plans that will enable reaching sales targets. Works with financial targets and translates these into a seasonal strategy.

The position is based out of WE?s office in Toronto.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and implement Product strategy/assortment for the region/channels for the different categories.

  • Lead the creation and maintenance of monthly/weekly, statistical, and adjusted demand plans over an 6 ? 12 months

  • Develop monthly and weekly forecasts for specific products, customers, and channels

  • Partners with marketing, sales, and product managers to generate product initiative forecasts and to ensure product is available and ready to support product launches.

  • Leads the generation of demand side inputs of the annual planning process (KP).

  • Partners with supply planning, sourcing and production teams to assure forecasts can be translated into actionable supply chain plans that optimize inventory and maximize customer service.

  • Understand and analyze key business drivers (point-of-sale data, market share, product data, inventory requirements, competitive activity) and drive improvement in the forecasting process.

  • Ensure best practices related to monthly S&OP and weekly demand planning are being followed throughout the planning process and drive continuous improvements in the S&OP process.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with marketing, sales and other functional teams and utilize those relationships to enhance business performance.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop and execute the strategic, long-range plan for Promotions

  • Build sales objectives for marketing by category and sub-category for new launches and basic skus and manage the execution of those objectives through detailed retailer sales planning and the optimal allocation of saleable and non-saleable goods.

  • Develop and Implement Excess/Exit Strategies

  • Lead and/or participates in implementation of new processes and practices for the demand planning team.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years? experience in supply chain / demand planning or related field.

  • 1+ years of demand forecasting experience.

  • Deep understanding of forecasting analytics and statistical modeling methodologies.

  • Strong Analytical and problem solving skills:

  • Excellent communication skills. Strong oral and written skills, organization, time-management, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel) applications experience required. Experience working with integrated ERP systems (SAP APO/DP) and BW preferred

  • Knowledge of integrated supply chain processes.

  • Comfortable presenting to and working directly with senior management.

  • Experience with continual process improvement methods.
