POSITION FUNCTION

Working closely with the Finance Manager, the Corporate Accountant is responsible for preparing and maintaining the Balance Sheet and Income Statement schedules and reconciliations. The Corporate Accountant will be heavily involved in the month-end and quarter-end process and reporting requirements. They will also be responsible for updating and maintaining the Cash Flow projections daily. Other responsibilities will include assisting with the annual budgets and audit preparation.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare and reconcile monthly Balance Sheet and Income Statement reconciliations, including but not limited to, Prepaid Expenses, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

  • Monitor the cash flow movements and complete regular cash flow forecasting.

  • Assist the Finance Manager in preparing the monthly Financial Reporting Package and other monthly and quarterly financial reporting requirements.

  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations of the assigned bank accounts.

  • Assist the Finance team in sufficiently closing the month-end to ensure it is completed in a timely manner. Record the assigned monthly and quarterly journal entries as needed.

  • Assist with the preparation of the annual Budgets; communicate the budgets with the respective department leads as necessary.

  • Liaise with external auditors and preparation for annual audit.

  • Contribute to the Process Improvement initiatives and monitor internal controls.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Have obtained or in progress of obtaining their Professional Designation (CPA).

  • 2-3 years of experience in corporate accounting and financial reporting/analysis.

  • Physical demands include but not limited to prolonged sitting, light lifting, standing, reaching, walking, and bending.
