Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM TechXchange team is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Conference Content & Experience team as a Content Manager working closely with the Conference Leader and extended team of Content and Experiences specialists. In this role, you will support overall content management for IBM TechXchange Conferences globally, including core and non-core content & curriculum, learning content, speakers, sales enablement, and more. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of the English language, be familiar with large scale event design and execution processes, and a passion for creating delightful user engagement by our target audience of technologists and business practitioners.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Work closely with the Conference content specialists in curating and preparing core, track specific content and non-core curated content for publication in various channels, such as Rainfocus event management platform, sales enablement assets, Seismic, blogs, external website, etc.

  • Lead the design and implementation of required seller enablement materials/assets in support of key rally points in the TechXchange Conference milestones.

  • Lead the Event-base mobile app content strategy including push notification strategy across content groups, as well as event and session survey support.

  • Research industry-related topics and trends to generate ideas for TechXchange Conference implementation.

  • Work with the digital strategy and communications teams to ensure an optimum UI/UX experience with messaging copy that that adheres to brand guidelines and key messaging.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the TechXchange Conference extended content team including content specialists, experiences team, global steering committee, and additional groups responsible for content curation, as well as other teams across IBM.

  • Write clear, concise, and engaging content in support of various Sales Enablement channels, such as Seismic, as related to Conference modules and activities.

  • Contribute to the development of content calendars and schedules.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in large scale event delivery, processes and timelines; content leader; event manager, or similar role.

  • Familiarity with the Rainfocus platform for event management. Familiarity with Seismic development preferred.

  • Excellent command of the English language and grammar.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

  • Strong research skills and ability to gather information from multiple sources.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strategic communication and project management skills and ability to work on simultaneous high visibility projects.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
