Moneris Product Manager, Mobile Applications in Toronto, Canada

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the development and management of our Android-based application for smart terminals. This role is centered around enhancing the user experience for merchants using the application for essential daily tasks, such as signup, login, transaction processing, reporting, and terminal management. You will ensure that the application, built using React and Java, operates across multiple devices. An emphasis on data-driven decision-making and an understanding of user experience in the mobile application context are crucial for this role.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship : You will report to the Director, Payment Acceptance.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Develop and implement product strategies for the Android-based smart terminal application, ensuring understanding of our goals.

  • Build a 3-month to 18-month roadmap for assigned portfolio.

  • Lead a dedicated Agile team as the Product Owner, partnering with the Technology Lead and Product Designer

  • Focus on optimizing the user experience for merchants, ensuring the application is intuitive, efficient, and meets their daily needs.

  • Use data-driven approaches to inform decision-making, product development, and enhancements.

  • Manage the application's lifecycle, incorporating user feedback and market trends.

  • Collaborate with teams, including technology, design, and operations, to develop functionalities that enhance user satisfaction.

  • Ensure the application's compatibility and optimized performance across multiple Android devices.

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in mobile applications in the payment and retail sectors to change and improve the product.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent work experience.

  • 3 years' experience in product management, specifically with mobile applications on Android platforms.

  • Background in user experience design and a user-centric approach to product development.

  • Experience with React and mobile application development.

  • Experience using data and insights to inform product development, with a focus on data-driven decision-making

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and best practices Stay up to date with industry trends/use applicable tools and processes.

  • Work with technology, design, and business teams.

  • Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners.

  • Passion for creating impactful user experiences and driving innovation in mobile application products.
