Summary

You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest, and owner expectations.

This position is ideal for candidates aspiring to advance into a Director of Events role. The Associate Director of Events is responsible to assist in providing leadership in all selling activities within the hotel, working closely with the Rooms, Food and Beverage, and other revenue-generating departments to maximize sales through the activities of the Sales Department and other employees.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the events team in the planning and execution of all events, ensuring a seamless experience from inception to conclusion.

· Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and expectations, proposing creative and suitable solutions that align with the Park Hyatt brand.

· Maintain close liaison with other hotel departments such as Catering, Banquets, Sales, and Audio-Visual to ensure cohesive event operations.

· Monitor event activities to comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and hotel requirements.

· Prepare and manage the budget for events, ensuring profitability while maintaining exceptional service standards.

· Train and mentor event staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

· Conduct post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved.

· Stay updated with the latest trends in event management and incorporate innovative ideas into event offerings.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree, preferably in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business, or Communications

· 2-3 years experience planning and executing events of varying sizes

· Ability to manage external vendor resources and relationships

· Demonstrated project management skills

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and duties

· Strong Microsoft Office skills

· Strong developer and trainer and effective in providing exceptional customer service
