Neuberger Berman Analyst in Toronto, Canada

Summary:

The Analyst will join the Breton Hill portfolio management team in Toronto, working alongside a high-performing group of research and development professionals. The team manages quantitative investment strategies involving equities, options, and futures for both institutional and taxable investors.

The successful candidate will assist portfolio managers by facilitating investment processes and monitoring investment portfolios on a daily basis. This role is part of the investment team and involves close interaction with senior portfolio managers as well as colleagues in other functional areas, including technology, database management, trade support, and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor quantitative investment strategies

  • Enhance quality assurance controls for the team’s investment processes

  • Provide analytical and portfolio management support

  • Develop content suitable for client presentations

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Economics or a STEM field

  • Coding experience is a plus

  • This is an entry level position, with 1 - 4 years’ working experience expected. Experience in financial markets is an asset, but not required

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to resolving issues step-by-step

  • Detail oriented, flexible and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Professional conduct, consistently guided by integrity, partnership and high performance

  • Canadian work authorization is required
