Ministry Support (Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries) Unit Clerk in Topton, Pennsylvania

Category/Shift/Hours per 2 week pay period: Full-Time / Day Shift / 80 hours per pay period

General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing a variety of duties to maintain resident care, unit order and organization. 
  • Performs clerical duties to maintain organized work station to allow healthcare staff to focus on patient care. 
  • Effectively communicates resident and family concerns to nursing and management staff for resolution and follow up.  

Education/Training: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent skills.

Preferred Education -- enrollment, or eligibility for enrollment within 120 days of completion of the training program, on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry (successfully completed a Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation program or competency evaluation program and has been enrolled in the PA Department of Health, Division of Nursing Care Facilities Nurse Aide Registry); maintains nursing assistant certification by performing necessary continuing education requirements.

 

Experience: Experience with electronic health record management and familiar with medical terminology preferred.

 

ADA: Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
