Ministry Support (Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries) Maintenance Worker in Topton, Pennsylvania

Category/Shift/Hours per 2 week pay period: Full-Time / Night Shift / 80 scheduled hours per pay period

General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing maintenance, including:  Small equipment repair, general light carpentry and building repair, minor plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work, facility setups, and security duties when assigned. 
  • May be responsible for maintaining the grounds including lawn mowing, trimming of trees and shrubbery, landscaping and tree replacement, installation and design of new beds and plantings, and snow removal from walks, parking lots, and cars. 
  • Responds to building and equipment emergency situations.

     

Education/Training:  A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent skills.

 

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of building and grounds maintenance experience preferred.  

ADA: Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills
