ANNOUNCEMENT OF ANTICIPATED VACANCY

POSITION TITLE: 10 Month Student/Family Support Center Program Coordinator (2 year grant funded position)

    Engaging students, families, educators, staff, and community organizations in the selection and implementation of strategies and interventions to create safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments.

Certification Requirements: Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR Licensed Masters Social Worker OR Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Job Description:

BASIC Overview of Roles :

  • Coordinate / Oversee All Day-to-Day Student Family Support Center (SFSC)

    Operations

  • Primary representative for meetings with district / building administration

  • Responsible for being the primary person for general / community facing SFSC

    communication

  • Progress Monitoring and Updates for SFSC

  • Maintaining strong and positive relationships with community partners

  • Support development of district SEL and inclusivity-focused interventions

    Look for and advocate for Continuation Funding Opportunities

  • Develop and/or facilitate trainings for Community, Students, & Staff

MORE COMPREHENSIVE OVERVIEW OF ROLES

COORDINATION OF FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER:

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the SFSC

  • Develop and routinely examine protocols and policies for SFSC and adjust as needed

  • Facilitate SFSC team meetings (typically weekly or bi-weekly)

  • Primary representative for meetings with district / building administration

  • Oversee and respond to all incoming emails on SFSC office email

  • Develop yearly SFSC goals and 2-year plan

  • Develop and maintain proper documentation of any MOUs, service agreements, etc.

    with outside agencies, providers, and partners

  • Serve as primary district representative on regional groups/committees relevant to the

    work of the SFSC, (such as but not limited to Erie 1 BOCES SMART Collaborative,

    WNY SFSC Coalition, Erie 1 BOCES CoSer Advisory Committee & Attendance)

  • Assist with grant writing to enhance funding for SFSC and district supports

  • Develop, maintain, and review systems for data collection and recordkeeping regarding SFSC operations, including some of the following:

    ○ Donations to the SFSC

    ○ Donations from SFSC to families/students/community

    ○ Spending/Funding (grants, etc.) used to support students/families/community

  • Develop and maintain direct supports that can be provided through SFSC

  • Other tasks as directed by administration

COMMUNICATION AND PROGRESS REPORTING:

  • Manage SFSC website / social media /related accounts and ensures accurate and

    relevant information is provided

  • Monthly communication to community / parents / staff

  • Completing and submitting quarterly reports to district administrative cabinet

  • Planning and hosting quarterly advisory board meetings

  • Completing and submitting end-of-year reports

  • Submitting monthly memos for BOE

    meetings

  • Develop and send out periodic needs assessments to community

MAINTAINING COMMUNITY-BASED RELATIONSHIPS, REFERRAL SOURCES, AND RESOURCES:

  • Maintain an up-to-date list third-party providers

  • Research and recruit third-party partnerships to provide in-district support

  • Regularly meet with community providers and organizations who work to support some

    of the following:

    ○ Mental health needs

    ○ Basic needs

    ○ Substance use treatment

    ○ Education related needs

    ○ Community education and enrichment

    ○ Child care ○ Physical health and wellness

    ○ Policy-making around the above topics

  • Maintain relationships with institutions of higher education within the region

  • Attend workshops, trainings, conferences regarding community resources, best

    practices, and new supports/resources

  • Attend community events / functions related to support and wellness when appropriate

    / available as district SFSC representative

SUPPORTING DEVELOPMENT OF DISTRICT INTERVENTIONS

  • Assist district and buildings in developing and modeling Tier 1 and Tier 2 building /

    classroom interventions that can then be more sustainably implemented by

    Building based staff

  • Analyze relevant data (ENL population and other demographic trends, attendance

    data, SEL screener, etc.) to assist in developing supports for specific groups of students

  • Develop and maintain opportunities for community education and enrichment related

    to wellness

  • Research, create, and organize presentations, literature, and other resources that can

    be utilized for education of parents, students, community and district staff

REFERRALS TO STUDENT SUPPORT CENTER:

  • Consult with SFSC School Social Worker regarding referrals as needed

  • Review and analyze macro-data for referrals and use data to support programming, initiatives, etc. through SFSC

    ○ Trends

    ○ Building-Specific Needs

    ○ Overall referrals to SFSC

SALARY: Per TEA Contract
