This includes coaching services in Supported Employment, Pre-Vocational Training, Community inclusion services, Individual Supports, Career Planning, and Community-Based Supports.Our goal is to provide the best quality services to each individual and family we serve throughout New Jersey. Every member of our team is an essential part to both Friendly Connections; and our patients long term success and happiness.Job Details (Please Read):- Manchester - Thurs - Fri: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Sat: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PMWe are searching for an active DSP who likes to go out to the community, doing art and attending art classes, enjoys technology, sports, and a healthy lifestyle.- Toms River - Tues + Thurs: 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM, Sun: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PMDo you like going to the mall, going for walks on the boardwalk and to the library? Then you're perfect for us!- Toms River - Weds: 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM OR Fri: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM OR any weekend day: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PMWe are looking for a DSP who is easy-going, likes bowling, movies, arcades and going to shows.- Jackson - Mon: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Tues: 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM, Weds and Thurs: 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM.Looking for someone calm, soft-spoken, who likes to do activities and going out to the mall or for walks. Experienced DSP only.- Brick - Mon + Weds: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Fri: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PMLooking for a friendly, very calm, and loving DSP who likes to have daily routines but also likes video games and music.- Toms River - Tuesdays or Thursdays - 10:00 AM - 3:00 PMLooking for a dog lover who likes to help with errands, keeping the client on track with household things and planning what to cook for the week.- Jackson - Tues, Wed, Thur: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PMLooking for someone who likes to go to the gym, hang out, music and having a new friend! :)- West Creek - 30 hours a week: schedule to be determinedLooking for experienced DSP who must have knowledge of ASL and how to use a G-Tube. Client likes to go for short walks, going to the library, likes animals and computers and to go out and hang.Salary range: $18.00 per hourBenefits:- Dental insurance- Employee discount- Health insurance- Paid time off- Professional development assistance- Referral program- Vision insurance- Bonus opportunitiesJob Duties and Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:- Assist with daily living and activities and help individuals integrate into the community- Help promote independence, social skills, self-care, and development- Assist individuals in services outside of the participants home, including recreational activities- Provide basic training of tech and communication skills- Provide job coaching services if needed- Transport individuals to and from their homes, activities, appointments, etc.- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all patient information compliant to HIPAA law and regulations- Other duties as assignedJob Requirements:- Must love working with and helping people- Must have at least 1 - 2 years of experience helping people with special abilities- Must be over 21 years of age or older- High School Diploma or equivalent- A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance in the state of NJ with your own reliable vehicle- Driving record with 4 points or less- Flexible schedule- Employee must comply with state regulations as necessary- Employee must cooperate with state regulations and NJ Department staff in any inspection or investigation- Pass state and federal background checks- First Aid and CPR certificationJob Specifications- The ability to exercise good judgment and use common sense- The ability to remain calm in crisis situations- The ability to interact with a wide range of people and situations- The ability to work with people with different needs that may also need more attention than others- The ability to undergo initial and ongoing training as necessaryPlease visit www.friendlyconnections.netFriendly Connections Inc., is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
