ProMedica Health System Support Coordinator - Radiology Reading Room - Toledo Hospital - Full Time - Variable in Toledo, Ohio

POSITION SUMMARY

Supports all radiology information systems. Maintains accurate image files and radiology reports. Manages the movement and storage of radiology records throughout the health system. Performs clerical and computer duties, supports radiologists in communication of results, and supports technical staff in the coordination of patient flow.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Greets and receives patients entering Imaging Services for diagnostic imaging procedures. Processes all needed patient paperwork and ensure all data and information is accurate and present for testing. Escorts and assists patients to different areas within the department.

  2. Perform telerads sends between ProMedica and other facilities while maintaining accurate imaging records.

  3. Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize, analyze and problem solve using critical thinking skills.

  4. Assist with pre-call of patients with professional and courteous phone manner also with dealing with patient complaints in a professional manner.

  5. Manages and reports critical, significant, and urgent results.

  6. Manages EPIC programs for reporting and QA management.

  7. Will assist radiologists/residents as needed.

  8. Uploads images from outside media to PACS, while ensuring records release is in compliance with HIM policy.

  9. Maintains confidentiality of all patient data with HIPAA guidelines.

  10. Follows organization mission and values of customer service.

  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: Must be a high school graduate/GED. Skills: Must be able to understand, and take directions. Communicates effectively. Must be able to cope with stressful situations and handle deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must be competent in the use of facility communication systems and equipment (e.g. phones, fax machines, scanners, PACs). Must be able to input and retrieve information from radiological or other medical equipment and computerized systems. Years of Experience: NA License: NA Certification: NA

Personal Protective Equipment: NA Physical Demands: Must be able to work independently and be able to to move about facility and between workstations and handle stooping, standing, walking, and lifting medium weight objects as required by the position. Able to rotate to other shifts and facilities as needed.
