Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Maintenance Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment in our industrial facility. This hybrid role combines general custodial tasks with specialized cleaning and light maintenance duties, ensuring both the facility and equipment remain in top operational condition. The ideal candidate has experience in both routine cleaning and industrial environments, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

General Cleaning and Custodial Duties:

• Perform regular cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and emptying trash to maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Ensure common areas, bathrooms, break rooms, and walkways are kept tidy and sanitized according to facility standards.
• Refill and stock necessary supplies, such as paper products and cleaning solutions.

Specialized Industrial Cleaning:

• Deep-clean machinery, equipment, and production areas using power washers, solvents, and specialized industrial cleaning equipment.
• Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials and chemicals used in industrial cleaning.
• Perform intensive cleaning to remove grease, grime, and residues from equipment and production surfaces to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Light Maintenance and Facility Upkeep:

• Conduct basic facility maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, changing air filters, lubricating parts, and performing minor repairs on facility infrastructure.
• Monitor and report any repair needs for equipment, facilities, or cleaning tools to the Facilities Manager.
• Help with routine inspections of machinery and common areas to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to and promote workplace safety regulations, especially in handling and storing cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for specialized cleaning tasks.
• Participate in training sessions for safe and efficient use of cleaning tools, chemicals, and maintenance equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of [2+] years of experience in industrial cleaning, facility maintenance, or a related role.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals, as well as basic facility maintenance tools and techniques.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to [50 lbs.], stand, walk, and bend for extended periods; comfortable working in environments with exposure to dust, fumes, or cleaning agents.
