Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities: Acts as an electrical discipline project lead in a multi-discipline design team, overseeing a multi-location production team, with strong client engagement skills. Responsible for the performance of the team to contracted scope, schedule, and budget on medium to large-sized battery/solar PV manufacturing projects. Manage technical resources to accomplish project objectives. Generate comprehensive technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models aligned with industry standards and client requirements. Designing the system with items such as switchgears, transformers, and distribution panels to control and distribute power to various sections of the facility. Perform short circuit calculations to ascertain fault currents and specify suitable protective devices. Perform precise voltage drop calculations to ensure electrical system stability and compliance with industry standards. Determine conduit and conductor sizing, meticulously accounting for current loads and environmental variables. Assess cable tray fills methodically to guarantee proper cable management, organization, and future scalability. Implementing redundancy and backup systems to ensure uninterrupted power supply and minimize downtime in case of power failures. Integrate UPS systems to provide short-term power backup in case of power fluctuations or outages, ensuring continuous operation of critical equipment. Ensure all electrical designs strictly adhere to pertinent local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations. Apply established design techniques and exercises discernment in adapting and modifying design concepts as needed. Uphold quality control by adhering to company and project design and Revit standards. Foster collaboration, communication, strategy, and support within your team, multidisciplinary groups (Electrical, Structural, Process/Chemical, Architectural, etc.), and inter-company teams to optimize efficiency, quality, and resource allocation. Conduct field verifications and site walks to identify, validate, resolve, and integrate solutions into design packages. Resolve design issues on-site during construction if necessary.
