ProMedica Health System Clinical Counselor - Cullen Center - Full Time - Days in Toledo, Ohio
The Cullen Center is an outpatient clinic on the ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children's Hospital campus. They provide outpatient therapy to children (infant to young adults) who have experienced abuse, loss, or other forms of trauma. They partner with youth and families to provide evidenced and trauma-informed therapy to help them heal and thrive. The Cullen Center is a member of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.
Position Summary:
The Clinical Counselor provides psychotherapeutic interventions for children and their families who have experienced traumatic events. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Provides care coordination and case management for children and families Counsels patient and their families to enhance their understanding and acceptance of personal and situational problems Collaborates with program's multi-disciplinary team and participates in development and implementation of treatment plans Serves as a resource and advocate on behalf of the client Provides documentation in client charts to reflect significant events and progress towards treatment goals
Required Qualifications:
Education: Must possess a Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling, and have or obtain independent licensure as either a social worker or professional counselor with the State of Ohio within 1 year of hire Skills: Must have strong organizational, computer and communication skills, strong ability to engage coworkers, program clients and partners in positive working relationships. Must keep client information confidential as required by HIPAA and other research related requirements. Years of Experience: Two (2) years of previous experience as a clinician working with children and families License: LISW or LPCC (independent licensure within one year)
