As a Marketing Manager based in Tokyo, you'll lead the development and execution of innovative video strategies for Out-of-App placements within the Amazon ecosystem. Your role will focus on enhancing Prime Video content discoverability, driving trials, and boosting engagement by identifying optimal content for target audiences, collaborating with design teams on creative assets, and strategically scheduling placements using Amazon tools. The ideal candidate possesses proven experience in cross-functional collaboration, program management at scale, and strong data analysis skills. Key job responsibilities
• Develop and execute a visionary strategy for Prime Video acquisition and engagement across the Amazon ecosystem, leveraging customer insights to define clear goals and KPIs.
• Establish and manage a comprehensive A/B testing roadmaps within owned platform, ensuring systematic program execution.
• Drive performance reporting through regular business reviews, providing actionable insights to stakeholders and senior management.
• Collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams to align on objectives, solutions, and timelines for program goal achievement.
• Manage and optimize SOPs (standard operating procedures) to improve efficiency of the projects.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards, collaborating with global teams to implement data-driven campaign optimizations.
• Spearhead on-service merchandising initiatives to increase content discovery, drive trials, and improve customer engagement and retention.
• Identify and cultivate synergistic opportunities between Prime Video and other Amazon businesses in Japan, creating innovative, customer-centric solutions.
About the team
The Owned and Operated (O&O) Marketing team is a vital part of Prime Video Japan, driving service-level engagement through strategic content marketing. We manage Prime Video's comprehensive marketing calendar across various offerings, including Prime eligible content, rentals, subscriptions, and sports. Our focus extends to both In-App and Out-of-App placements within the Amazon ecosystem. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, we continuously innovate and enhance the Prime Video customer experience in Japan. Our team plays a crucial role in developing new product features and optimizing marketing strategies to meet the evolving needs of our audience.
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of professional marketing experience
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
Experience building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns
Experience planning and executing complex A/B testing of creative and targeting
Native or equivalent level Japanese proficiency
Business-level English proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in multi-territory campaign management
Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and process
