Amazon Sr. Process Engineer, Process Engineering in Tokyo, Japan

Description

The Amazon Logistics (AMZL) team is looking to hire an experienced, innovative, hands on and customer obsessed Sr. Process Engineer to drive standardization and innovation in physical infrastructure, layout and material flow across our Last Mile delivery network.

The successful candidate will be responsible to lead optimization of AMZL Delivery Stations by continuously driving processes innovations, developing safe & efficient process equipment and creating Infrastructure design standards.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and improve Amazon Logistics equipment/processes to enhance safety, customer experience, capacity, speed, quality and cost goals

  • Lead multiple high priority projects that involves management of stakeholders from different functional areas

  • Drive standardization by creating and improving design process standards

  • Implement and establish World-Wide best practices

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field

  • Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools

  • 5+ years of experience leading projects related to process improvement, equipment design or layout optimization

  • Business level English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)

  • Experience in Logistics, Distribution or Fulfillment processes

  • Excited about working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture
