Are you passionate about driving results by unlocking the power of a team across an entire Area? As a Solution Assessment Area Lead, you will deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring for your team.

The Solution Assessment Area Lead is the coach, mentor and champion for the Solution Assessment Specialist and Solution Assessment Managers of your Area- an integral part of the Microsoft Sales Team. Any successful migration or modernization project has one thing in common: great data was collected that generated valuable insights on precisely how the customer should proceed incorporating practical solution and cloud economic recommendations.

Solution Assessments deliver these valuable insights through channel-led, Microsoft approved assessments that use 1st and 3rd party discovery and visualized analysis tools to enable customer cloud migrations and modernizations. These assessments are cross-segment (Enterprise, Corporate, and Top Unmanaged SMB) and cover all Solution Areas (Azure, Modern Workplace and Biz Apps).

As the Solution Assessment Area Lead, you will work directly with customers, your sales team, and Solution Assessment partners to achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas – driving Solution Assessments at scale. This role has significant business impact through direct involvement in customer/partner cloud migration and modernization projects. The Area Lead will engage in solving complex business problems and driving business growth while partnering with field leaders in delivering solutions focused on the needs of partners and customers.

Responsibilities

The Microsoft Solution Assessment Specialist is an integral part of the Microsoft Sales Team. Any successful migration or modernization project has one thing in common: great data was collected that generated valuable insights on how the customer should proceed.

Partner with business group and field leaders and driving Solution Assessment process for Solution Assessment Specialists in the field.

Leadership responsibilities for group of Solution Assessment Specialists that work directly with other sales teams and customers to select, fund and drive Solution Assessments.

Develop and evolve Solution Assessment strategy; drive assessment strategy with Field Teams, engage the right partners locally

Provide insightful analyses to field and Corporate leaders, as it relates to current KPIs: Assessments delivered, driving ACA/ACR, CPE, etc.

Drive corporate strategy while adapting to market trends and driving business performance improvement.

Build and maintain strong working relationships across multiple groups at Microsoft – OCP, Corporate, Digital Sales, SMSG/Field segments and regional teams, Business Group product management and finance, Operations - and with other key partners across the company.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone specializes in understanding the available Microsoft Solution Assessments and how they align to customer needs and incorporate Microsoft’s Solution Areas and products. This means having a deep understanding of 1st and 3rd party discovery and analysis tools that customers rely on to fully understand their IT environments. It also means having great relationships with global and local Microsoft Solution Assessment Partners who have the expertise to deliver these assessments.

Executive stakeholder management across customers and partners

Key Experiences:

Candidates must have 10+ years of practical experience in direct and indirect solution sales, marketing, communications, and/or channel or business development. Five years of management experience strongly preferred, or comparable cross-group responsibilities (e.g. as a Project Manager for significant projects with cross-group impact and membership).

Skills:

Local language required at discretion of hiring manager.

Education and Knowledge:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent experience

Preferred: MBA or Master’s Degree in IT, Communications, or Marketing, and formal training in project management

Required in Year 1 of Role: Azure Fundamentals, required Learning plus TSI trainings, and manager trainings.
