Microsoft Corporation Software Test Engineer in Tokyo, Japan

Microsoft Japan National Technology Office is seeking a Software Test Engineer.

As we continue to grow and introduce new AI feature for all Microsoft products, the need for comprehensive test strategies that ensure product readiness becomes critical.

The Software Test Engineer role will develop test strategies, plans, and executions that will ensure Microsoft’s successful launch of new, innovative solutions for the next generation of AI(Copilot) products. S/he will have an opportunity to learn the latest technologies of AI/Copilot in the test development environment and find the quality gap prior to the product deployment.

Working closely with product development teams, create and execute the strategic test cases in the same cycle of product development and provide the test feedback. Additionally, the test engineering team provides detailed test reporting that demonstrates product readiness and brings insights to defects detected and potential remediation.

Responsibilities

To create test specifications, reviewing existing ones.

Developing and maintaining test infrastructure

Fully execute the test lifecycle in Japanese

Capable for reporting, prioritizing and evaluation of software bug

Be a face of quality for the Japanese Market

Involved in improving quality assurance processes.

Able to scope testing effectively, balancing testing requirements against product release schedules

Ability to work independently or as part of a team to accomplish critical business objectives.

Work in an Agile environment embracing iterative and incremental Techniques

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

7+ years of developing / testing Applications

Fluent level Japanese and business level English speaking and Read/Write

Excellent understanding of test development

Programming Languages & Scripting languages

Automation experience (including GUI), knowledge of automation test frameworks (Selenium, etc) imperative (Option)
