Nike Senior Partner Representative (Account Manager), Japan in Tokyo, Japan

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role will report to the MPU (Marketplace Unit) Director and will work closely with the Partner Account cross-functional teammates in Merchandising, DSM (Demand and Supply Management), MPO (Marketplace Operations) and the Partnership Transformation team to ensure smooth business continuity. Most importantly, the successful candidate will need to build a strong relationship with retail partners to realise account and marketplace strategies.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Senior Partner Representative (Account Manager) to join our team

with a high degree of curiosity and learning agility, excellent strategic account planning and project organizational skills, and an ability to communicate effectively with account and internal cross-functional teams.

We will work together to support and drive the consumer focus, strategy development, marketing plans and manage relationships with key partners who authenticate our brand in the marketplace. The successful candidate will identify product opportunities and implement product strategies, stay current on product and product changes, and display strong customer service skills by developing and maintaining relationships with key customer personnel at all levels of the customers business. This role will elevate Nike retail and move Nike retail forward to meet the company’s future strategy.

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher education

  • Have a minimum 5-6 years of field sales management in the athletic industry that includes field sales, retail buying, merchandising, sales business planning, or sales business analysis.

  • Have a strong knowledge of the athletic industry both from product knowledge and marketplace trends.

  • Ability and vision to provide 360-degree business solutions given the dynamic multi-brand retail scene.

  • Experience in successfully implementing various sales programs, policies, procedures, and methodologies and experience in utilizing financial decision making, models and translating results into business plans and accurate revenue forecasts.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (fluency in English and Japanese), with ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives. Able to influence both cross functionally and vertically within the organization.

  • Ability to prepare, plan and deliver clear and persuasive presentations, and think strategically by providing problem-solving solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As a Senior Partner Representative (Account Manager), you will co-create and lead one or more category/Gender strategies to create the future marketplace. Create, Lead, and coordinate the execution of seasonal business plans to reflect better retail store presentation to maximize sales.

  • You will work with the team to develop, apply, and track the sales strategy and key product launches.

  • Create and implement business plans for achieving revenue growth and other financial targets.

  • Lead and oversee the realistic and accurate scenario planning, forecasting, seasonal initiatives, business analysis, and new sales opportunities.

  • Understand, drive, and scale Retail Elevation across our markets and find ways to leverage best in class examples across our teams.

  • You will also be working with the account to redefine their business and strategy, and thereby elevate the marketplace and meet the needs of Japanese consumers.
