Amazon Head of Vendor Program Sales and Bus Dev, JCI in Tokyo, Japan

Description

Amazon is seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to head-up the Vendor Sourcing and Inbound Programs (SIP) team, which encompasses sales specialists, account management, and business development functions.

About the Role: As the leader of the SIP team, you will spearhead growth and drive exceptional vendor experiences across all of Amazon's inventory sourcing and inbound logistics programs. You will manage a large, cross-functional team spanning multiple retail categories, partnering closely with senior leaders in category management, inventory planning, and operations. Your responsibilities will include setting and achieving ambitious revenue targets that directly impact Amazon Japan's retail P&L, inventory levels, and cash flow. With a scope of influence spanning senior managers to vice presidents, you will play a pivotal role in formulating sales growth strategies, managing the business development pipeline, and scaling teams to support vendor operations.

To excel in this high-visibility role, you must possess exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven track record of achieving ambitious financial goals. You will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of the complex supply chain and vendor landscape, enabling you to connect the dots, influence multiple stakeholders simultaneously, and make accurate predictions that inform critical financial decisions for Amazon Japan.

We are looking for:

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups, both within and outside the organization.

  • Strong experience leading and developing high-performing sales and business development teams, preferably in complex, matrix environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, make trade-offs, and prioritize effectively while building enduring partnerships.

  • Proven success in fostering an inclusive and diverse culture that prioritizes work-life harmony and continuous learning.

  • Relentless drive for innovation and simplification to enhance productivity and operational excellence.

  • Expertise in supply chain operations is valuable but not essential; strong leadership capabilities and business acumen are prioritized.

As a member of our inclusive and diverse team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside passionate colleagues who share a customer-obsessed mindset, insatiable curiosity, and a deep commitment to personal and professional growth.

If you are a strategic and innovative leader with a passion for driving growth, building high-performing teams, and creating exceptional customer experiences, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a large and growing team of business development managers, account managers, and sales specialists.

  • Formulate long-term strategies for sustainable growth and organizational expansion.

  • Own and achieve key input goals that drive Amazon Japan's retail performance.

  • Serve as a role model and coach, fostering the development of your team members.

  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and promote Amazon's Day 1 culture.
