Amazon Process Improvement Specialist, Merchant Fulfilled Network (MFN) in Tokyo, Japan

Description

The Marketplace business, one of Amazon’s most important growth engines, is looking for a talented process improvement specialist to design sales supporting operations for newly launching game changing product in Japan.

The process improvement specialist manages sale supporting operation for newly launching product. You will be a business operation expert, working closely with AM team, Product manager, BIE, Operation teams (AMZL) and WW Standards to build stable operation flow to improve SX.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work closely with AM team to crate sales operation process to scale the newly launching product quickly.

  • Convert existing heavily manual operations to scalable automated solution, which sustain for mid-term.

  • Work closely with the operation team (AMZL) to meet all sales operations meet their required timeline and escalate to Product Manager or any other stakeholder if any arrangement is needed.

  • Build metrics/reporting/analytics to identify where in the sales operation perform worse than it should be and take an counter action to solve it quickly.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

  • Experience using data and metrics to test assumptions, generate ideas, execute and measure success.

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Proficiency in Japanese and business level English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and demonstrated experience querying relational databases using SQL (or other query language), along with experience using large complex data sets to design models and scenarios.
