Netflix Manager, Finance and Strategy (F&S), Ads Strategy - APAC in Tokyo, Japan

The Role
With the launch of our ad-supported model, we are now working toward providing more choices for consumers and a premium brand experience for advertisers. We are seeking a selfless, curious, and passionate colleague to join our Finance & Strategy (F&S) team for Ads which spans across Ad Sales, Consumer Experience, the Ads Platform, and more. You will be located in the Tokyo Office and have the opportunity to learn and grow quickly in this space, work closely with a highly cross-functional, global team, and contribute to one of the most impactful transitions we’ll have made in a decade. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, APAC F&S, Ads Revenue & Yield Analytics. Your responsibilities will include:
Develop our Advertising Strategy across APAC markets including Japan, Korea and Australia, in partnership with cross-functional advertising stakeholders
Evaluate and assess the market opportunity, competitive environment, and advertiser and agency landscape working with our Ads team partners
Work with our regional measurement team to understand and prioritize client needs across the global roadmap
Partnering with Ads Data Science & Engineering and FP&A to develop and refine metrics and reporting for internal partners.
Partnering with other parts of Ads F&S colleagues to provide connectivity on key strategic initiatives and support ad hoc analyses for cross-functional teams (Product, Content, Legal, Marketing, FinOps, etc.) involved in the ads business.
Developing and presenting clear and insightful presentation materials that facilitate decision-making for internal and external stakeholders in small and large forums.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of experience, ideally in management consulting and/or tech companies.
Knowledge of the streaming advertising and ad tech ecosystem is considered a plus.
Extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis. Strong modeling skills and comfort with manipulating large datasets in Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, and other data visualization tools.
A strong attention to detail and eye towards using the 80/20 rule to address problems.
Very strong project management, planning, and organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to deliver work under tight timelines.
Skilled in preparing effective presentations with clear narrative and impactful graphics. The ability to communicate with varying degrees of detail depending on the forum.
Experienced and at ease with diverse cultures and working in international environments. Team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently
Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results and exhibit the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree with emphasis on quantitative coursework; MBA a plus
English and Japanese language fluency
