The Life Science Sales Japan Senior Sales Account Manager for Leica Biosystems is responsible for developing and executing the Japan Life Science Sales activities and strategies that contribute to revenue.

This position is part of the Japan organization > located in Tokyo and will be remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the Life Science Sales team and report to the Sales Manager, East Japan responsible for sales/customer supports sales to set objectives, targets and measures to achieve the company’s forecasted sales and production. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work closely with the business and function leaders in Japan and in APAC to support Japan Sales initiatives for Japan wide Life Science.

  • Manage the team and lead the team to achieve sales and develop human resources.

  • Communicate with channel partners to acquire and drive funnels and achieve respective sales targets.

  • Responsible for developing and managing new funnels.

  • Develops relationships with KOLs in the assigned region to o raise the negotiation stage to win business

  • Plan and promote local meetings and seminars within the area of responsibility

  • Participate in and lead various projects as assigned and deliver results and improve customer satisfaction

  • Plan and report activities in the field using SFDC Salesforce.com

  • Develop and implement strategies and tactics in the wider area

  • Participate in daily management meetings (Daily management) and monitor KPIs

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or business-related degree required

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in sales, distributor management, sales management, and/or marketing roles in Japan

  • Experience in life science, medical device, or diagnostics industry

  • Good level of English is required (global meeting participation and reporting to APAC)

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time. Overnight travel may / will be required

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in Japan healthcare environment, Life science Market and hospital market desired; consistent track record establishing relationships with distributors, partners, and KOLs

  • Superior project management skills and an ability to multitask

  • Experience in regional healthcare/diagnostics environment/life science desired
