Description and Requirements

Job Objective

  • Ensure efficient and effective day to day operations for the ISG business in Japan

  • Support the achievement of business and sales performance goals through identifying and assisting the team to execute growth initiatives

  • Ensure all preparations are ready for sales and business performance reporting with AP HQ & WW on weekly and monthly basis

  • Serve as the focal point of contact for regions and address any business issues

  • Support the consistent implementation of company strategies and intiatives

  • Identify and lead programs to work with BT/IT teams for automation and new IT transition projects

  • Project leader for various ISG projects encompassing across AP Geo

Responsibility & Accountability of the Position

Responsibility:

This role is to support the Japan ISG Operations leader and sales General Manager with strong business insight from fact basis analysis and strategic scenario based thinking.

Drive operational and commercial performance improvements in the Japan ISG business

Key point of contact for Lenovo internal operational matters such as system implementation / sales performance management etc.

This position drives interaction to with sales General Manager as well as other sales and functional managers across Lenovo to serve as business enabler for the entire sales team.

Building strong and trusted partnership with Japan President, sales General Manager, sales managers and other functions is critical to be successful in this role.

Details

  • Ensure effective weekly & monthly sales performance cadence process and reviews with regions

  • Preparation of weekly & monthly performance management decks for AP HQ and WW reviews

  • Designing of dashboards / monitoring mechanisms for KPIs

  • Support region for all Sell Thru reporting

  • Help drive cadence within the region on all key topics

  • Work with MI team on market analysis

  • Running of key projects with BT / IT team

  • Identify and drive operational performance improvements

  • Supports the consistent implementation of company strategies and initiatives

  • Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts

  • Identify areas of operational performance improvements and lead programs to efficiency gains

  • Provide performance insights and proposed actions to sales leaders to drive increased performance

  • As needed coordinates planning activities with other stake holding functions & deep dives to derive actionable strategies in trouble areas

  • Works closely with sales management and segment leaders to improve predictability and linearity and prioritize opportunities for improvement

  • Works to ensure all sales organization objectives are assigned in a timely fashion

  • Provides and distributes different reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed

  • Builds peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key stakeholders

  • Participate in team meetings to develop and drive for process enhancement

Business analytics and management

  • Host the business cadence meeting to monitor and drive performance of the sales

  • Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in opportunity/pipeline management (through Salesforce).

  • Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales team. Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed

  • Conduct business analysis and provide decision support for the management team

  • Ensuring AP ISG is on top of issues by proactively providing management reports / decks for weekly and monthly reviews

Sales Operations/Process/Project Management & Enablement

  • Serve as the focal point of contact for sales team and address calls for most general business issue

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of new processes and procedures for effective and efficient team operations

  • Track and analyze the performance based on customer segmentation perspective

  • Setting Individual Sales Incentive and Compensation plan, including target allocation proposal and performance tracking logic.

Key Performance Indicators / Success Metric

  • Manage effective / accurate business management

  • Internal: Sales team, Finance team, MI

  • AP/WW: regional team

Specification & Requirement

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools like Excel, Powerpoint, etc.

  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English

  • Able to develop strong relationships with various stakeholders and ability to work with them

  • Able to work independently and meet requirements, maintains ownership, offers potential solutions, drives work to completion within specified timelines

  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented

  • Work under pressure

Desired:

  • IT savvy exposure is an advantage

  • Immediate availability is an advantage

Work Experience

  • Total no. of yrs of exp.: 12 or above

  • Relevant no. of yrs of exp: 5

  • Relevant industries: PC/ IT industry is an advantage
