General Summary:

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead and manage the PC OEM accounts such as Panasonic, Fujitsu, Lenovo, Dell, and HP in Japan for the success of Qualcomm business. It is required to work closely with marketing, business operations, customer service, customer engineers, and other functional groups in Japan, other regions and BU in HQ. Key responsibilities are to get the DWIN from the Japan OEM accounts, commercialize the Windows Snapdragon PC powered by Qualcomm, make the forecast of the devices and hit the target volume, especially in sell out, of the ones to enterprises / retailers/partners. More importantly, he or she needs to manage the accounts well for the success of Qualcomm business and build the well-established business relationships from top to the bottom in the customer organization. Successful candidate may take the regional champion role of Japan PC task force.

Skills/Experience

  • Extensive experience in developing relationships in large, complex organizations globally.

  • Managed to sales targets and goals.

  • Experience in selling components and solutions to PC OEM’s

  • Understand the complexity of the compute.

  • Understand technically complex products and experience in how to position these to a broad audience.

  • Strategic account management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customers.

  • Experience in design win and region sell-through partnerships with PC OEMs.

  • Experience in sell-through, sell-out, and go-to-market with OEM regions and channel partners in Japan.

  • Deep knowledge and experience in building complex financial models that create win/win situations for Qualcomm and our customers.

  • Ability to identify emerging opportunities and proactively engage in pre-sales activity.

  • Expert technical understanding and hands-on experience in mobile and PC technology including being first line of defense for technical and product issues.

  • Proficient and detailed understanding of supply chain, product development and marketing of compute products such as notebooks, Chromebooks, and tablets

  • Experience in negotiating and managing MDF, NRE and component pricing with large consumer electronic OEMs and retailers.

  • Ability to communicate, educate and evangelize both internally and externally.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Creative problem solving with strong analytical skills.

  • Self-motivated and result-driven.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of sales, product management or business development of complex technology products in compute businesses with knowledge of global dynamics of OEM, OS Partners, and Retailers

  • Well English speaking, writing, and hearing competence for the internal and external communications in the daily business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years in sales, business development, product management or related work experience

  • 3+ years in a leadership role
