Corteva Agriscience Research Associate Yield Test in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Mexico

Description

The RA will lead and maintain an appropriate communication with the Yield Test Lead, Operation Lead, SRAs, Scientists and Breeders of the Tlajomulco sites, to the coordination different operations. He/she will be planning, coordinating and monitoring operations about Corn, phenotyping process as planting, spraying, data collection and harvesting in localities under the Tlajomulco station area (IMPACT / Research, multicrop) and IFS support.

Activities

  • Follow-up of the assigned locations and generate reports in a timely manner.

  • Develop and lead to create collaborative relationships with all the team of RA's and Ra's in Ciénega - Occidente, to facilitate the achievement of employment goals. Staring with integration and proactive activities and of course as an example of operate.

  • Adequate assurance of the quality of the collected data (Traits), following the Corteva standard protocols and tools (Launch, First Stage, GDCS, RAM, etc) and aligned with the Breeders.

  • Active participation in the voting for hybrids advancement in Corn.

  • Ensure that data collection is performed following QMS protocols and data are timely quality checked and timely uploaded in Launch.

  • Work together with the team in continuous process improvement and metrics, based on continuous improvement and support of QMS (Quality Management System) as a way of working and improvement in the processes to achieve the objectives in an optimal way.

  • Work together with SRA and Operations Leads to create metrics that measure the efficiency of different operating processes. Phenotyping, Logistics, costs, etc. Involve Research Associate and Assistant.

  • The 100% effective compliance with QMS and EHS&S protocols and training. Comply monthly with 100% vehicle audits. Measurement Forms: Have completed RMS and EHS&S courses by the end of the year. 100% compliance with vehicle audits. Not have traffic violations and notices of non-compliance with the vehicle use policy (night driving, speeding, sudden braking, fines). # of SODA cards (minimum 2 cards per month).

  • Lead the daily talks of 5 minutes prior to each start of activity. 100% participation in weekly Safety Meets.

  • Generate innovative solutions in work situations; try new and different ways of dealing with problems and job opportunities.

  • He/She recognizes the importance of speed and is focused on growth.

  • Conducts experiments to completion according to specific procedures and Breeders and Operation Lead guidelines.

  • May exercise limited technical discretion in the design, execution and interpretation of experiments.

  • Maintains, organizes, and summarizes results of experiments. Support to SRA YT.

  • Plans, organizes and supervises the work of my RA and RAss reports you.

  • May organize and supervise work of the temporary workers (trainees, etc).

  • Active participation in the Cortazar EHS&S committee. Strong Participation in the 2023 Cortazar safety improvement plan (SIP) execution.

  • Encourage and stimulate people in my group for continue improve key in EHS&S process and programs.

  • Make customers and their needs the main focus of our own actions. Develop and sustain productive relationships with internal team (RA's and Ra's), as the same with our breeders, scientists and BPO team.

  • Express thoughts, feelings and ideas, clearly, and persuasively, both in individual and group situations. Regulate language to capture the attention of the audience.

  • Demonstrate a willingness to actively engage in one´s own work and to invest one´s time, talent, and best efforts to achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree desirable.

  • English fluent.

  • 2 years of experience in similar position or in position with more than 5 people reporting.

  • Humble, responsible and loyal.

  • Experience in agronomical solutions.

  • Able of traveling or moving residence.

  • Communications skills, teamwork, align process, solving problems with practice solutions.
