Job Title: Aircraft Assembly Technician

Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled Aircraft Assembly Technicians to join our gear shop team. The ideal candidates will have experience from an automotive service center, repairing motorcycles, heavy equipment, RVs, golf carts, or have a military experience working on aircraft components or Humvees. This role involves servicing aircraft landing gear components through troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and parts replacement at the component/depot level. Candidates must have experience working with production goals and metrics, and not just freelance side work.

Responsibilities

  • Service aircraft landing gear components under the direction of the Production Shop Supervisor.

  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and parts replacement using manuals and other data.

  • Complete both repetitive and unfamiliar tasks on a regular basis using aviation repair manuals.

  • Ensure adherence to production goals and metrics.

Essential Skills

  • Strong mechanical ability and attention to detail.

  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, landing gear, and maintenance.

  • Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and hand tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manuals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 2+ years of recent experience in an automotive service center, repairing motorcycles, heavy equipment, RVs, golf carts, or military experience with aircraft components or Humvees.

  • Experience with production goals and metrics.

  • Experience using calipers and micrometers.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a Monday-Friday 2nd shift schedule from 3:30 pm to midnight, with some overtime required when needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00
