Located in Titchfield, Hampshire, Eaton's Aerospace business stands as a global leader in aerospace fuel systems. We pride ourselves as a premier supplier of fully integrated fuel systems for fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. The Titchfield facility boasts extensive fuel and air system test facilities, facilitating comprehensive testing across a range of conditions with various fuel types. As a result of internal promotion we have an exciting new opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our plant leadership team.
What you’ll do:
In this unique opportunity you will not only be a crucial contributor to the overall plant performance but will also be instrumental to our site transition into a new facility due to operate in 2026. This position will be responsible for achieving business and financial goals by developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes and leading continuous improvement / cost out initiatives across the organisation. Additional responsibility includes executing the organisation’s Operational /strategic plans consistent with UK & European legislation, and local regulations, established industry standards, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
Budget responsibility for Manufacturing Engineering department
Responsible for the introduction, development and continuous improvement of all manufacturing processes and product structures
Accountable for commitment and cross functional delivery of site financial cost savings Lead the culture of continuous improvement
Manage on site and off site supplier contracts & relationships
Development and delivery of the site manufacturing strategy and related infrastructure projects
Collaborates with the Engineering & Programme Management Organisations throughout new product design to minimise product development costs and maximise useful life of products
Site owner for Manufacturing excellence Quality Leading Indicators (QLI) such as PPAP, Process standard Work & Special Processes. Site owner for ProLaunch deployment category within OpA. Signatory holder for CCB, supplier transitions and new product gate reviews.
Develop and integrate new processes, methodologies and emerging technologies as to provide competitive advantages for the business including Industry 4.0 tools and process enhancements.
Develop the teams and team members to improve performance
Qualifications:
At least HND Degree in a relevant engineering subject
Extensive experience supporting machining, metal treatments, assembly and test related processes, Experience supporting CI related tools and techniques
Manufacturing processes, Continuous Improvement framework, Industry 4.0 tools and techniques
Skills:
Leadership capabilities
