Located in Titchfield , Hampshire, Eaton's Aerospace business stands as a global leader in aerospace fuel systems. We pride ourselves as a premier supplier of fully integrated fuel systems for fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. The Titchfield facility boasts extensive fuel and air system test facilities, facilitating comprehensive testing across a range of conditions with various fuel types.

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work within the Manufacturing Engineering Team. Supporting all operations areas of the Titchfield site. Providing day to day support to the production areas in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Proactively ensures timely completion of issues to enable production to meet customer requirements

  • Acts upon task instructions from Lead/ Senior ME to maintain performance indicators, and takes appropriate actions, to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are met

  • Ensures required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer, manufacturing system requirements.

  • Assures policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured product

  • Provides commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance

  • Supports product design organization through new product introduction phase to ensure customer manufacturing delivery times are met

  • Assures that Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship

  • Supports manufacturing improvement initiatives, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across manufacturing

Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing principles - PFMEA, PPAP, lean manufacturing (6 Sigma), value stream mapping, process flow, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) creation.

  • Implementation of NPI projects, experience with supply chain support, Continuous Improvement / process improvements, experience with additive manufacturing.

  • BOM (Bill Of Materials) and Routing audits, knowledge of Laser Part Marking procedures, understanding of Engineering drawings.

  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of laser part marking technology, specifically Pryor equipment and software- advantageous

  • Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic
