TIOGA MEDICAL CENTER (TMC) Radiologic Technologist (RT) in TIOGA, North Dakota

Tioga Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist to work in a combination hospital/clinic setting.

Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Responsibilities: Prepares and positions patients correctly for specific examinations - radiographic or fluoroscopic for surgical, CT and DEXA.Prepares all contrast media used in various CT examinations.Operates a portable x-ray machine and takes film at bedside. Translates doctor's orders involving technical surgical procedures into appropriate x-ray procedures. Keeps inventories of chemicals, films, drugs and other supplies used in x-ray and CT.Performs routine office duties.Must be available to take call.

Requirements: Education, License, and Certifications: High School Diploma and up to two years training in Radiologic Technology. ARRT accreditation Active NDMIRT license in good standing

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The position of radiology technologist requires knowledge of radiation physics, anatomy, radiologic positioning, medical terminology, and disease processes; must have the mental capability, manual dexterity and physical ability to mix contrast medias, help position patients, to operate the portable x-ray machine and to get patients from their rooms per w/c or cart; must have the mental capability to stay informed of new methods and technology; must have the ability to get along with various professional personnel (i.e., physicians, administrators, other allied health personnel and the public); must have the ability to complete forms and records; may be required to travel to attend work-related meetings and educational opportunities; may be required to lift up to 100 pounds; is requiredto take call when needed. When on call, the technologist must be reachable at any time, the technologist must be able to be in the facility within 20 minutes from being contacted by hospital staff for a radiology examination. Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork;must have ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
