TIOGA MEDICAL CENTER (TMC) Clinic Manager in TIOGA, North Dakota
Minimum requirements include the following:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- 3 years of healthcare experience.

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/RN school.
- Active LPN or RN license in good standing with the State of North Dakota.
- 3 years of healthcare experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Schedules physicians/PAs/NPs, nursing personnel, and reception in each of TMCs clinics in coordination with COO provider Call Schedule.
- Creates, manages, and monitors providers schedules in EPIC.
- Oversees chart review and quality assurance.
- Provides orientation to the facility for visiting physicians and medical students when needed.
- Sets up new providers on ePrescribe and EVERS (for death certificates).
- Ensures compliance with requirements of 42 CFR 405 and 491 and have all documentation prepared for NDDOH state survey every 5 to 7 years for each clinic.
- Actively participates in Emergency Planning.
- Holds regular clinic staff meetings to discuss new policies/procedures/concerns/etc.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, coaches, evaluates, rewards, disciplines, and when necessary, terminates employees reporting to this position.
- Completes annual evaluations for clinic nurses, clinic CNAs and reception staff.
- Brings any problems/concerns to the attention of Tioga Medical Center's CEO/COO/CFO as appropriate.
- Assists other staff as needed within his/her scope of practice.
- Schedules visiting specialists who come to TMC clinic regularly and assist obtaining number of patients seen each month for quality reporting.
- Sees that all employees of the TMC-Clinic adhere to OSHA guidelines for infection control. Ensures proper equipment is available to follow these procedures
- Ensures that annual calibrations are completed on all necessary equipment.
- Coordinates Long Term Care rounds for appointed physician one clinic day each month with LTC DON.
- Addresses patient concerns and complaints and makes corrective actions to prevent further grievances. When appropriate or when unable to resolve patient concerns, involve CEO/COO/CFO to resolve.
- Acts as a liaison between clinic and ancillary departments.
- Attends Department Head, Medical Staff, and other meetings as requested by the CEO.
- May be required to travel to attend work-related meetings and educational opportunities.
- Performs all duties or tasks requested by the CEO.

- Treats all residents and patients with dignity and respect. Promotes and protects all residents and patients rights.
- Establishes a culture of compliance by adhering to all facility policies and procedures. Complies with standards of business conduct, and state/federal regulations and guidelines.
- Follows appropriate safety and hygiene measures at all times to protect residents, patients, and themselves.
- Maintains confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written, and electronic communications.
- Reports noncompliance with policies, procedures, regulations, or breaches in confidentiality to appropriate personnel. Reports any retaliation or discrimination to HR or CEO.
- Reports any allegations of abuse, neglect, misappropriation of property, exploitation, or mistreatment of residents to supervisor and/or administrator. Protects residents and patients from abuse and cooperates with all investigations.
- Reports any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and/or hazardous chemicals in accordance with facility policy.
- Participates in all life safety and emergency drills and trainings. Fulfills responsibilities as assigned during implementation or activation of the facilitys emergency plan.
- Reports work-related injuries and illnesses immediately to supe visor.
- Follows established infection control policies and procedures.
- As a condition of employment, completes all assigned training and skills competency.

- If a nurse - Must have the knowledge, skills, and abilities as required by Tioga Medical Centers Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse job description.
- Must not pose a threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk while working on a computer.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform overhead lifting and perform other common physical movements as needed for the position.
- If a nurse - Must have good hand dexterity to perform such functions as administering injections, inserting catheters, administering IV solutions, administering oral medications and perform CPR.
- Meets general health requirements according to facility policy, including medical and physical exams and checking immunity status to various infectious diseases.
- Ability to assist in evacuation of residents and patients during emergency situations.
- May be subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases and/or conditions which include AIDS, Coronavirus, Hepatitis B, and Tuberculosis.
- May be subject to hostile or emotional residents, patients, family members, visitors or personnel.
- Intermediate computer skills, including ability to create documents in various programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Adobe), and navigate electronic medical record systems.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Works in well-lit, ventilated area.
- Subject to frequent interruptions.
- Communicates with medical and nursing staff, and other departments.
- Subject to call-back during emergency conditions.
