Job Description

OPPORTUNITY

The position of project manager is within the Pharmaceutical Development Services (PDS) group at Patheon Tilburg.

We, the PDS group, develop innovative pharmaceutical products and provide development services using innovative softgel technologies for our customers. .

The project manager is the important point of contact for the project and leads multiple projects independently in line with the company standard processes and governance.

The project manager reports to the SENIOR TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

Lead an appropriate number of challenging medium/large projects with minimal monitoring from a Senior Project Manager.

Lead project meetings, client conferences and on-site visits.

Work with all internal functional areas to facilitate the completion of all project tasks and objectives associated with assigned, approved project plans.

Promptly publish meeting minutes, key decisions and discussion points and follow action items to completion.

Ensure team members are passionate about the project tasks without losing the big picture.

Lead changes to the project scope, project timeline and project costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, reflective of authorized project changes and facilitate customer acceptance.

Facilitate decision-making and conflict resolution within the project teams and local functional management; present decisions and recommendations when needed.

Develop detailed project plans and ensure distribution to appropriate internal departments and personnel, and to external customers as the need as required.

Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to own progress of a project.

Identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions and communicate to all collaborators.

Project plans that must meet customer requirements and expectations.Organized agenda and team meetings.On Time Delivery (OTD) of project results.Issue customer concern for at-risk projects.

Project Financials

Update Sales Order Register on a regular basis to keep it updated with the latest status for ongoing projects.

Supervise PDS contract compliance and trigger invoicing for completed results.

Supervise labor and other costs related to projects and propose reallocation of resources as required.

Work with Finance and Client Services to onboard new customers and projects and to ensure timely billing.

SOR reports. Billing requests on time.

Sales

Timely generate Project Expansions (PE) and Changes of Scope (COS) for ongoing projects.

Present site capabilities to new potential customers.

Set up and provide cost of goods proposals for new products (New Product Request system) in collaboration with Quotation team, Account Executives, Business managers and purchasing.

Identify and qualify new raw materials needed to set up new product formulations.

When needed provide input and review content for new project proposals.

COS and PE sales versus targets.Sales presentations. New Product Tilburg proposals versus agreed timelines.Carry out raw material qualifications in line with Patheon policies.

Product Master Documentation

Set up and control Product and Gel Master Documents based on development reports and customer requirements in compliance with GMP regulations in order to handle customer and development orders.

Maintain the approvals of product master documentation with the customers.

Implements feedback from customers, pilot plant and the Commercial Manufacturing Organisation (CMO) and revise Product and Gel Master Documents accordingly.

Perform check and control on work orders for manufacturing.

Set up Product and Gel Master Documents on time and in line with the manufacturing planning without delays.Check and control work orders on time to ensure no delays for manufacturing

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Higher education level in pharmacy, food science, food technology or chemistry by education or experience. Good knowledge on cGMP and/or FDA guidelines. Have a minimum of 3 years of working experience in product development or project management area in pharma, healthcare or other relevant industry. Passionate and well organized with ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Strong interpersonal proficiencies with ability to empower others. Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently. Good report writing and presentation skills. Good knowledge of written and spoken English language.Proficiency using MS Office applications and knowledge with computer interfaces
