Role:

This is a Part-Time position based in Thunder Bay. This position requires individuals to be well organized, detail oriented, and able to take direction and work well as part of a team. Applicants must be able and willing to follow all company policies and procedures and be flexible with scheduling. This position is scheduled for approximately 32 hours/ week.

Role Responsibilities:

• Travel with driver on delivery routes;

• Assist driver with offloading product;

• Perform the delivery function with excellent customer service in mind;

• Comply with all safety rules and procedures and Ministry of Transportation laws;

• Assist transportation team members, complete tasks and meet customer service requirements;

• Must maintain excellent punctuality and attendance record;

• Use proper lifting techniques;

• Other duties may be assigned.

• Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by acting as an example and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.

• Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

• Must be detail oriented and well organized with good communication skills;

• Ability to set goals and meet deadlines;

• Ability to work in all weather conditions;

• Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

• Candidates that currently hold an AZ License or have interest in pursuing AZ license to become FT Driver will be given preference. Sysco has AZ License Training partnerships that can be explored with Driver Helper associates.
