Aerotek CMM Programmer in Three Rivers, Michigan

Job Description

The CMM Programmer/Layout Technician will provide layout and verification of customer supplied casting designs for the automotive, agricultural, and appliance industries. This technician will use PC-DMIS for programming and should be proficient in CAD++. The role involves inspecting manufactured castings for compliance specifications, developing drawings using CAD, performing PPAPs, full dimensional layouts, and overseeing all quality/CMM operations on the off shift.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

•Assist in IATF 16949 development in the tooling area.

•Assist in sample development and submission.

•CMM program creation for verification of customer supplied designs.

•3D scan program creation for verification of customer supplied designs.

•Tooling evaluation to relate casting defects to design deviation or process.

•Monitor tooling wear through mold count and dimensional evaluation.

• Assist in gage calibration.

Qualifications:

•1+ years of PC-DMIS Experience

•1-3+ years of CMM Programming & Layout Experience

•Experience reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments

•Good written and verbal communication skills.

•Knowledge of PC’s and related software.

• Ability to read prints and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

• Knowledge of ISO/QS9000/IATF16949 standards.

Work Site:

This is a fully on-site position in Three Rivers, Michigan. This role will be off-shift, and candidates will have some flexibility to choose which working hours work best for their schedule.
