In this vital role you will work as part of the Global Digital Customer Capabilities team to further define how digital can support and accelerate the commercial strategy. By working closely with cross-functional internal partners and keeping a pulse on external environment, this team will drive how digital capabilities can accelerate our growth and be implemented across the full brand planning framework as well as patient journey. As a Senior Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our content web platforms. You'll work with a talented team of web developers, analysts, and specialists, overseeing the strategic direction, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of our digital presence. You'll be a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize user experience, enhance performance, and ensure alignment with evolving business objectives.

This role will be responsible for collaborating with internal clients & external vendors to define project scope, objectives and deliverables and develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets of website launches and updates.

  • Strategy & Roadmap:

  • Co-Lead the execution of the web strategy, aligning it with overall business goals and market trends.

  • Prioritize initiatives and define the roadmap for ongoing web development and optimization.

  • Conduct industry research, analyze data, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

  • Team Leadership & Development:

  • Build and cultivate a high-performing team with a strong culture of collaboration and ownership.

  • Foster growth and development of direct reports, providing coaching, mentorship, and career guidance.

  • Delegate effectively and empower team members to take initiative and solve problems creatively.

  • Operational Excellence:

  • Establish and maintain efficient workflows and processes for web development, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Stakeholder in US & O-US content management systems (CMS), search engine optimization (SEO), and website analytics.

  • Drive continuous improvement through performance monitoring, A/B testing, and data-driven optimization.

  • Communication & Collaboration:

  • Clearly and concisely communicate web strategy, initiatives, and progress to stakeholders within the Market Affiliates across the organization.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product, DTI) to ensure alignment and seamless execution.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and partners.

This role reports to the Director, Global Digital Customer Capabilities. The Senior Manager position requires an experienced candidate with a blend of life science and technology background, superior cross-functional collaboration skills, commercial acumen, the ability to operate globally and locally, and very strong influencing skills.

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Master’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Associate’s Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in web development, content management systems, and/or web operations.

  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing teams of technologists.

  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and web analytics.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to think strategically, translate business goals into actionable plans, and drive results.

  • Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for learning new technologies and staying ahead of the curve.

  • Experience managing between onshore/offshore development teams.

  • Familiarity with technical specifications and best practices for Web Accessibility, file sizes/types, image & video resolution

  • Experience operating in a regulated business environment and adhering to mandatory compliance requirements.

  • Pharmaceutical experience preferred.

  • Skilled in translating web requests and projects into timelines, tasks, and final deliverables

  • Strong project-management and communication skills.

  • Proactive and positive attitude with strong collaboration skills and team-focused mindset; prioritizing work and understand project requirements based on business impact/needs.

  • Ability to understand technically complex concepts and articulate to clients clearly.

  • Knowledge of internal organizational process and procedures

  • Excellent written, verbal and communication and presentation skills

  • Impeccable ethics and integrity and comfort operating in a highly regulated environment
