A trailer manufacturing company is looking for a welder to be responsible for putting together metal trailers. This company is well established in the trailer industry and is quickly becoming the leading trailer manufacturer in the southeast. They have an innovative mindset and a desire to build better, more durable, and better-looking trailers.
salary: $15 - $20 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM
education: No Degree Required
Responsibilities
Prepare work surfaces: Ensure surfaces are free of scale, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter
Select materials: Choose the right filler metals, wire electrodes, and gasses for different welds
Adjust equipment: Adjust amperage, voltage, gas flow rate, and wire feed speed for an ideal weld
Test welds: Inspect products for cracks, defects, and porosity
Clean and maintain equipment: Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with welding equipment, and maintain a clean and safe work area
Follow safety standards: Work safely in changing environments
The essential functions of this role include:
wearing steel toe shoes
manual lifting up to 50lbs
standing for 6 hours at one time
