Interfor
is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Firewatch in Thomaston, GA location. This is a 2nd shift position with hours from 5:30p-6am with rotatingSchedules.
Week-1 they work: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
Week-2 they work: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday
What You’ll Do
Responsible for monitoring work being performed and ensuring hot work is under control.
Keep areas of work clean and organized.
Other tasks as required, as assigned by supervisor.
What You Offer
Experience in a sawmill operation will be an asset;
Strong commitment to safety;
Ability to remain calm in emergencies, respond quickly, and follow all reporting and safety procedures;
Ability to work evenings/nights and remain awake and alert at a fixed location;
Strong observation skills and ability to patrol for signs of fire or any other unusual events;
Ability to lift +/- 50 lbs.
