We are now seeking to hire a “Document Input Solution (DIS) - Senior Software Engineer”.
Your Role
Kuehne + Nagel has implemented a corporate “Document Input Solution” to help business and functional units extend their current automation level in document data capturing, processing and archiving. As “Document Input Solution - Senior Software Engineer” you will be responsible for developing and implementing applications in C# or Java. You will have to design, code and support / maintain the solution delivered.
Your Responsibilities
Developing new features for globally used enterprise IT solutions.
Delivering solutions end-to-end, from solution design to implementing front- and back-end, to deployment.
Be part of a global team and collaborate with multiple locations (Europe, America, Asia).
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes following agile principles.
Create documentation necessary to implement and maintain the delivered solution.
Harmonize existing document archiving process services.
Implement different data capturing processes for a high-volume of documents.
Develop interfaces for integration between global IT systems.
Identify, troubleshoot, and analyze technical problems.
Work on improving continuous integration / deployment.
Your Skills and Experiences
3+ years’ professional experience in software engineering related job, familiar with at least one programming language (C#, Java).
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree on Computer Science or IT related major.
Proven OOP techniques and frameworks usage (.NET, Java, Spring, Hibernate).
Hands on experience in cloud-native development (e.g. Kubernetes, public cloud).
A deep understanding of distributed systems and microservice architectures.
Experience with source/ version control tools and platforms (e.g. git, TFS) together with CI/CD usage and experience (Jenkins, Gitlab)
Experience in working in an agile team and tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence).
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.
Knowledge of OCR / Data Capturing technologies is a plus.
Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving competencies
